Hi,
My name is Anna-Karin Åsander and I work as a school-librarian in Umeå, Sweden.
Umeå and Riga are the culture capitals in 2014 and I´m looking for co-worker in a project called “Childrens stories 2014″. Briefly the projects main content is that children in the age about 11 will produce a story together. One chapter per class, and about 15 classes/story. A childrensauthor in Umeå will write the first and last chapter and also visit the classes. The stories will be published into real books, each children will have a copy of their own book.
The project will be held in three terms, starts in the autumn 2011 and ends with a big final in 2014. Three books will therefore be made and a lot of children will have use of their creativity and fantasy
It would be fantastic if we could make the project together: Umeå and Riga
Maybe place the stories in the same book, or that children in Riga will illustrate the story that children in Umeå have written.
If you could help me come in contact with some school-librarians in Riga I would be most grateful!
